I had such a fun time with Cora and her family, photographing her first year of life! From her newborn session, to her 6-month session, to her final big first birthday portrait session where we celebrated with a cake smash!

Cora's mom requested something in blue and a snowflake theme for her cake smash so I ordered a cute banner and my cake person made me that awesome cake and we had a 'Winter ONEderland' theme! Cora's mom made her little dress with the O-N-E on it and as you can tell she really enjoyed smashing up that gorgeous cake!

We kept up with the swing 'theme' and used it once again as a 1-year old and she loved it! Her mama always has the cutest outfits planned and then I just plan my backdrops around them. And let us talk about that buggy! I saw that in their house when I was there for one of her other sessions and knew I HAD to use it at her 1-year session when she was sitting up. My memory is pretty bad but I do recall it has been in the family for generations along with the little pink coat she is wearing! Her daddy shined it up just for her first birthday portraits! I love to be able to include sentimental items in sessions like this - I can just imagine someday she might use that buggy for her own babies and she can show them these photos of her in it - and that is what my job is all about.
