A pet session in a photography studio is a wonderful way to capture your pet in a comfortable, controlled environment. The studio setting allows for consistent lighting and minimal distractions, helping pets look their best and letting their personalities shine. It’s also a great opportunity to create high-quality, lasting memories that celebrate pets as important members of the family.
The pet studio experience is one upfront cost and includes 5 digital images from your session. This session includes up to 30 minutes in the studio with 1 studio setup. Neutral/simple backdrops are available along with a select number of bolder options. Studio props will be provided, and full details will be discussed before your session.
After your session takes place, you will receive your preview images in a private online gallery to choose your included 5 digital images. You will also have the option to purchase additional digital images, prints, or products 'a la carte'.

When it comes to clothing, I recommend coordinating colors rather than matching exactly — think complementary tones instead of identical outfits.
Don’t forget about shoes! They don’t need to be spotless (especially for little ones), but if they’re muddy, a quick clean can help keep them from drawing attention in seated poses.
I’m often asked which colors photograph best. My general advice is to avoid neon shades and clothing with very fine pinstripes, such as some men’s dress shirts, as these tend to photograph poorly.
Unlike my outdoor sessions because I will be using studio light the time of day is more flexible with a studio session. My studio hours are from 10am to 2pm. If you need a later time we can discuss it.
For pets in the studio, I kindly ask that your pet be fully potty trained before scheduling. I frequently photograph babies and toddlers in the studio, and while I thoroughly clean and sanitize after every session, maintaining the cleanest environment possible is very important for everyone’s safety and comfort. Additionally, as the studio is a rental space, accidents can create obvious challenges.
Bringing your pet’s favorite treats is highly encouraged, especially if they’re food motivated. As well as a favorite toy to help keep them engaged and relaxed.
Contracts and waivers are required for all pet sessions.
Please ensure your dog is leashed when entering and exiting the building.
Clients are responsible for any damage or incidentals caused by their pet.
A studio session may be a better option than an outdoor session if your pet tends to run off or is easily distracted.
Are you unsure what your vision is for your pet studio session? Let’s talk about what you’re hoping to do with your images — I’m here to help guide you to the perfect fit!
