Here at Leah Islinger Photography, the main focus is expecting parents (maternity) and newborns. These sessions are all about capturing the true miracle of new life. There is nothing more special and life-defining than when two people create an entirely new family of their very own. Photographing this priceless stage in your life.....it's just a wonderful feeling to know those moments and milestones will be preserved for generations to come.
Leah Islinger Photography also schedules maternity, baby milestone sessions, high school seniors, families, business portraits, and pets as her schedule allows :)
| Where Do Sessions Take Place |
Leah Islinger Photography has a studio located in downtown Little Chute inside the Main Street Plaza. All newborn sessions take place here along with the option for maternity, babies, business portraits, and some small indoor family & senior work.
Most family, senior & pet sessions are on-location, outdoors in Appleton and the local surrounding areas. There are many locations I can suggest that are sure to fit the vision you have for your portraits.
| What To Wear, What To Wear |
Simple clothing is best when it comes to a portrait. Children always look stunning in bright colors but simple, neutral colors also have their own flare. It all depends on the 'look' you want for your portraits. Don't hesitate to include anything you feel screams "This is my family! This is who we are!"
Complimentary colored clothing looks best in family photographs but complete matching outfits are definitely not required. Additional outfit changes offer variety and creativity to the photo session.
My style of newborn photography is a mix of wrapped and implied naked babies. I love to show off those beautiful rolls and gorgeous baby skin. I also like to give variety with various wraps & tiny outfits (provided by the studio).
| What To Expect |
Sessions will typically last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour depending on the type of session, except 3-4 hours for newborns. I like to use a laid-back approach, especially when dealing with children. Snacks, breaks & sillies are to be expected! There will be no 'rush-rush' to get the session done in an allotted time as I typically only book one session per day.
In a family photograph, I want to show love, to capture laughter and life. When you look back on your photographs years down the road I want you to be able to remember the emotions of that day just by looking at your expressions and body language. Be you, be real and be fun!
Whether I am photographing a new mother-to-be, a precious newborn, or your family as they grow, I make it my goal to be there in the moment with you, to share in your joy and laughter while I am capturing a bit of your life. I am thankful for everyone that wants to share their special moments with me and in return, I want to give you my undivided attention to each and every detail of your session.
