Meet Appleton, WI Photographer Leah Islinger

I am a mother of two boys and two girls. They are my inspiration and they have shown me how fast babies truly do grow up. Because of them, I know how important it is to capture these moments before they are gone forever.
I am a wife to an amazing husband who supports my dream and that means more to me than anything. I am also the mommy to two adorable puppies who also suffer have the privilege of being photographed regularly. I love chocolate. And peanut butter. Together. Starbucks is my greatest weakness. I am a ChapStick addict and a night owl.
Most importantly I love me a newborn baby! If time, space, and money would allow it I'd have a million newborn babies of my own. I love their smell and their softness and the little noises they make when they sleep. I love the peach fuzz on the backs of their ears, arms, and backs. And who doesn't love those surprisingly loud and seriously hilarious baby toots?!!!
I love seeing my expectant mamas glowing in all their motherly beauty and hearing them say how pretty they feel in their portraits. I love perfecting those newborn poses and even catching those little newborn smiles. I think at nearly every one of my newborn sessions my clients say "You have so much patience!" Admittedly, in other aspects of my life, I do not always show patience when I should, yet when I am working with newborns something in me slows down. My brain focuses on one thing only and that is your precious baby. Getting these images is as much for me as it is for you. I LOVE coming home and loading my memory card into my computer and looking through the images I took of your family and your new little love.
I am a perfectionist and I take pride in giving you the images you desire. I never rush my newborns (or any of my other sessions!) because I know that once they are relaxed and comfortable I will be able to capture what I came to get - irreplaceable images of the most memorable time in your life. At the end of your session, I hope we'll feel like friends.
I look forward to hearing from you and meeting your family :)
